Creating an Account

1) Find the "Team Login" entry in the right column.

2) Beneath this module, find the link called "Register" and click it. It will take you to the Registration Page. You'll find a stack of entry fields (boxes) to fill in with the following names:

Profile Image. The system requires that you have a picture. Prepare a picture of yourself on your computer. If you don't know how to prepare an image for the Internet, see the link, "Preparing Images" under "Log in and Site Use" in the Main Menu to the left. When you've got it done, upload it to the site using the "Browse" button in the "Profile Image" section. Once you click this, a window will appear that allows you to locate your picture on the computer you're using. When you've found it, press "Open" to upload the photo.

First Name. Required. For the club, this means your "call name." For instance, your real first name might be "John", but everyone calls you "Jack." If "Jack" is what everybody calls you, use that name.

Last Name. Required. Your family name. So if you're Jack Ryan, your last name would be "Ryan."

Email. Required. If you're a power user with lots of different email addresses, write down which one you're using. If you don't have an email address, a good place to create one is at Google.

Username. Required for login. Make your user name is your first and last name combined! If your name were "Jack Ryan," your username should be "jackryan" (other alternatives would be JackRyan or using an underscore as a space, jack_ryan, or Jack_Ryan). Just make sure there are no spaces in your username! Your team members will always be able to see if you're online, and may want to write you — if you've chosen some bizarro username, they won't know it's you and you'll miss the call. Trust us on this one.

Password. Required for login. Please, please … don't use an easily faked password, such as, say, "P-A-S-S-W-O-R-D"! Use a combination of letters and numbers that would be hard for a hacker to guess, but easy for you to remember, such as your dog's name plus your street address. Your password is case sensitive, which means the computer sees small letters and capital letters as different things. For instance if you created the password "56mgWx," you could not get into your account by typing in "56mgwx." Another big "please, please please" — write your password down and put it somewhere secure but that you'll remember. The site will send you the username or password if you know which email address you've used, but it's a hassle you don't want. In an emergency, the site admins can reset your password.

Verify password. Required for login. You typed it once, now do it a second time to make sure the system has it right. Also, it's a second chance to write it down and save it.
